SKAGIT BIRDING TOURS
Skagit Birding Tours takes you around Skagit Valley’s farm fields and the Fir Island Farm Snow Goose Reserve in search of the thousands of snow geese & smaller flocks of tundra and trumpeter swans. They move from field to field throughout the day and from day to day.
After enjoying lunch at one of the fabulous restaurants in La Conner, Mt Vernon or Anacortes, we’ll checkout a couple of other excellent birding spots in Skagit and Padilla Bays to look for waterfowl, shorebirds and great blue herons.
Ever been to a heronry? The two largest and most important heron nesting grounds in the western US are located right here, in Skagit County’s Padilla Bay! Learn why.
Be prepared to listen to the cackling cacophony of the highly gregarious geese, the honking of the swans and the unmistakable bald eagle call and the peeping of the shorebirds. Enjoy watching the birds’ feeding behaviors.
Frame your pictures with stunning backdrops of farm fields, historical barns, mountains, islands and the Salish Sea to frame your photos!
The extended 2-hr tour includes looking for more birds around Fidalgo Island, Anacortes, and Deception Pass State Park, at the edge of Salish Sea.
Warm clothing (including gloves and hat) and rain gear are highly recommended during our crisp and sometimes wet winter days.
