“We really did “connect” to the wild side on this tour of Fidalgo Island! Herons, ducks, eagles, hummers, gulls, black-tailed deer–even in the winter cold, there was so much to see and enjoy! The scenic views were fabulous! The walk on a sandy beach was delightful, and the tidbits of history and marine biology shared by Guide Stephanie made the trip even more enriching! A great day for my camera! Thank you, Stephanie, for a memorable outing!”

A Guided Adventure Through Vendovi Island Preserve
Vendovi Island Preserve is the little “Hidden Jem” of the San Juan Islands. It is located between Lummi, Cypress and Guemes Islands. Its 217 acres have been protected since 2010 by the San Juan Preservation Trust.
Explore the island’s forest, beaches, grassy meadows and very scenic lookouts on its very well-maintained trail system (easy, 3 mi, 200 ft elevation gain) on your own or with Stephanie who will identify the flora and fauna encountered.
Enjoy your picnic lunch with stunning vistas of the San Juan Islands, the Salish Sea, Mount Baker and the North Cascades.
Learn about the history of Vendovi and meet Elaina and TJ, the island caretakers, and find out why they love living on Vendovi.
