anacortes guided hikes - bowman bay deception pass state park

Experience the magic of our coastal PNW rainforest, grassy headlands and sheltered beaches at the edge of the Salish Sea.

Our Anacortes Guided Hikes Adventure takes you to our favorite coastal trail on Fidalgo Island.  This hike is easy to moderate, 2-4 mi round-trip and up to 580 ft in elevation.  The trail is very well maintained but has a bit of exposed roots and rocks easy to navigate.

Along the way, learn about the native tree and plant communities and look for wildflowers (including orchids).  Hear about the unique geology of the island.  Listen and look for birds and marine mammals, which Stephanie (your Naturalist-Guide with 30 years experience) will identify.

We guarantee you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Salish Sea running thru the San Juan Islands, as well as the Olympic Mountains and Vancouver Island!
