WILDFLOWER TOURS IN THE NORTH CASCADES, WASHINGTON
Covering entire coastal headlands, growing amongst forest giants, along trickling streams, around tranquil lakes, and in expansive subalpine and alpine meadows, wildflowers delight our spirit with the splendor of their colors!
These Guided Wildflower Tours take the wildflower enthusiast on a guided day hike to one of the many well-maintained trails around Mt Baker, the North Cascade Mountains and NW Washington coastal parks. All are dirt trails, with varying degrees of muddiness, rockiness and rootiness, that accommodate all hiking levels. Sturdy waterproof hiking boots are highly recommended.
All trails are within a 90 mi radius and a 2.5 hr drive from Anacortes or the Mount Vernon Amtrak Station. Some trailheads are quickly accessed from a road or highway and others are reached via longer, potholed forest service roads. Time of year, snow/ice/road conditions, unforeseen environmental conditions & weather forecasts dictate trail options.
Easy Trails suited for all levels, little elevation gain of 150-500 ft and 1-4 mi round trip.
Moderate Trails suited for all levels, involve a bit of elevation gain of 1000-1500 ft and 4-6 mi round trip.
