NORTH CASCADES WILDFLOWER HIKES
Ideal for the wildflower enthusiast! Skagit Guided Adventures offers small group North Cascades Wildflower Hikes in the North Cascades to “Color” Your Spirit!
North Cascades Wildflowers come to life in colorful displays every Spring. Early bloomers in the PNW lowland rainforest are the wild gingers, coral roots and calypso orchids. Violets, goldthreads, trilliums, buttercups, salmonberries, bleeding hearts, marigolds, skunk cabbage and blueberries add their own colors. Lilies, currants and many others continue the blooming procession throughout the summer.
In addition, at the higher elevations you will find: monkey flowers, paintbrushes, asters, orchids (yes, more orchids), blueberries, huckleberries, saxifrages, heathers, penstemons and partridgefoots. Lupines, mountain ash, cinquefoils, arnicas, pearly everlastings and grass-of-parnassus also make their debut in early Summer.
As a result, they altogether produce incredible colorful displays from Spring thru Fall. Delight your eyes with all shades of reds, oranges, yellows, greens, whites, pinks, purples and all combinations of these! High and low, North Cascades Wildflowers will “Re-Wild” Your Spirit!
