Seattle Mount Baker Guided Day Hikes
Join Skagit Guided Adventures small group hike up Park Butte Trail to “Re-Wild” your Spirit! From Seattle or Vancouver, hop on the Amtrak Cascades train to the Mount Vernon station pickup, where all our Adventures begin. These Seattle Mount Baker Guided Hikes accommodate all hiking levels.
This fun and extremely rewarding hike traverses a variety of terrains: expansive sub-alpine meadows, a rocky creek bed (or two), a cool forest (literally and figuratively), more expansive alpine meadows, and a ridge to a restored fire lookout. The trail is about 6 mi (round trip) to the edge of the colossal moraine edge; it was left behind by one of Mt Baker’s receding glaciers. For those more adventurous hikers, the trail continues upwards about another mile to the restored fire lookout.
All for what?
The most amazing close up view of Mt Baker, an endless view of the North Cascades skyline and a bird’s eye view of the Twin Sister Mountains guarding the Nooksack Valley. In other words, some of the most spectacular scenery in the NW Washington!
